  Peter Alexander LeBlanc 82, Sydney Peter Alexander LeBlanc, 82, of Sydney, passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Margaree, he was the son of the late Peter Alex and Lucie A. (Deveau) LeBlanc. He was a member of St. Joseph's parish and attended church prior to his illness. He was a carpenter and installer of aluminum siding for many years. Alex was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, bowled with Club 55 and the Pensioners League. He enjoyed playing cards especially tarabish and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, the former, Ernestine Lake; his sisters, Mary Judy and Theresa, both of Margaree, Margaret Timmons, Mississauga, Ont; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Myles, Charles and Hector, sisters, Marie Cameron and Anne Jane MacFarlane. There will be no visitation for the late Mr. LeBlanc.
  Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church with Rev. Gerald Dunphy officiating.
  Interment at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Cape Breton Palliative Care. Funeral arrangements under the direction of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel.¹
