    At his father’s residence on the 15th inst. and, in the 23rd year of his age, Hugh Gillis, the beloved and only son of Angus Gillis (Big) of Margaree. The deceased was an excellent young man, and his long and painful suffering he edified all who saw him by his patience and resignation to the Devine Will. The large concourse that attended his funeral is proof of the respect of his fellow parishioners for the deceased, and their sympathy for his bereaved parents. R. I. P. – Com.2
