MacFARLANE, Ron
MacFARLANE, Ron - 62, Green Acres Drive, Sydney River, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2006, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, Ron was a son of the late Archie and Sarah (Gillis) MacFarlane. Ron was the owner operator of MacFarlane Carpet and Drapery Ltd. for 25 years, retiring in 1996 due to illness. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Sydney River. Surviving are his wife, Allana (Gillis); son, Ian, Halifax, and daughters, Heather and Shannon, Halifax. He is also survived by brothers, Joe (Mary), London, Ont; and Raymond (Gwen), Lake Ainslie. He was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy. Visitation for Ron will be held today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Sydney. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Kings Road, Sydney River, with Father Norman MacPhee officiating. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Donations in Ron's memory may be made to Alzheimer
Society of Nova Scotia.
