  • Death*: He died on 8 August 1930 in Belle Island, Newfoundland, Canada, at age 70.1
  • Burial*: He was buried after 8 August 1930 in SW Margaree, Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada.1
  • Biography*: Studied at St. F. X. College 1880-1883, St. Joseph's 1883-1885, St. F. X. college 1885-1887. St. Mary's Novitiate in Quebec 1887-1888. Ordained by Bishop Elphege Gravel in 1888.

    Rev. Ronald was Pastor in Margaree August 29th 1888 to October 20th. Then Pastor at Thornburn November 24th 1897 to July 15th, 1900. He was also Spiritual Director at St. F. X. College in 1899 & 1890, coming each week from Thornburn.

    He became Pastor of Ingonish in July 1900, remaining until September of 1902. Rev. MacDougall then became Professor of Mathematics at St. F. X. College from 1902 to 1903.

    He was the first Pastor of Dominion No. 4 and Morien, serving from August 1903 to December 16th, 1908. Then Pastor at Christmas Island December 1908 to July 12, 1909.

    He spent part of 1909 & 1910 visiting in the U.S.A., recuperating. From September 1910 to February 1st, 1916 he was Pastor at Brook Village. He became the fifth Pastor at Heatherton February 1st, 1916 until August 23rd, 1925.

    Rev. Ronald returned home to serve as chaplain of St. Theresa's Convent , Margaree Forks in October 1925.

    He died while on a visit to Bell Island, Newfoundland August 8th, 1930.1
